This past August … “Get Swept Up In The Current” - was a gathering of like-minded friends seeking to understand how God is moving right where they are. People from all over the country, at various stages of missional living among their friends met to learn from fellow practitioners and special guest Michael Frost, author of The Shaping of Things to Come and Exiles. They exchanged captivating stories with those who are living out the gospel of Jesus in their work places, neighborhoods and 3rd places.

Susan and I will be there - and we will be accompanying my daughter, Joan and her husband Jim. This sort of trip is invaluable - meeting kindred spirits new to us, hearing stories of what others are seeing and doing - and having fun!

I am getting more and more swept up in the movement of this gathering. God is gathering together little bands of 20 something’s around the country to creatively advance the gospel of Jesus and his kingdom. What could be more exciting. Maybe I should register for this event. Jon

The deadline for early registration is midnight (Pacific Daylight Time) July 1st. After the 1st, you can register any time, but the cost goes up by $50.

Registration will not increase by $50 now until August 1st. That was recently extended, correct?

Thur & Sat, I’ll be wandering through the greater Seattle area on 8.5mi and 16mi runs, I’d really like to hit Discovery Park (http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-239-281–12093-0,00.html) along the way. You should come with me! As we run, we can scope out all the places to go for eats afterwards
