How stupid I am. This isn’t a one way street: me helping, others receiving my help. I have to tell you I am getting a lot.

  1. I see the world differently. I recognize many more people I can trust and respect.
  2. My sense of humor somehow seems more important.
  3. I am learning how to slow down.
  4. My sense of community is being stretched, strengthened.

In the resources section I just posted a book list my buddy Rick Yorgey has put together called “Beginning to Understand What it Means to be “White” or “Black” in the US.”

Here is another good resource: http://www.onestepchallenge.com/. The site encourages staff to take “one step” towards ethnic minority but also lists some good books, has some encouraging video and posts Eddie Broussard’s “7 Principles” for living in our multicultural world.
